Lanesa studied law at the University of The West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, where she obtained an L.L.B. degree. She then graduated with a J.D. from Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. She later completed a Master of Laws (L.L.M.) at Texas A&M University School of Law. Lanesa is a licensed attorney in Texas and Jamaica. She has over 9 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, real estate, immigration, and health law. She is comfortable in a courtroom, having litigated cases in Texas. She excels at contract negotiation, compliance, advocacy, and international law.
