  Jarrette grew up in Louisiana. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources. Jarrette then studied law at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, graduating with a Juris Doctor in Fall of 2013.
  
  Following law school, Jarrette became a Judicial Law Clerk to the (late) Retired Honorable Judge Madeline Jasmine in the 40th Judicial District Court, in and for the Parish of St. John the Baptist. After clerking for almost two years, Jarrette was offered a position with a prestigious law firm in New Orleans, but respectfully declined and accepted a position as a prosecutor in the District Attorney's Office of the Honorable Bridget A. Dinvaut, handling both criminal and civil (governmental) matters.
  
  Simultaneously, since 2016, Jarrette has operated his own law firm, The Jarrette J. Tuircuit Law Firm, LLC, handling a wide variety of cases and clients including corporate/business, litigation, wills, successions, trusts, personal injury/automobile accidents, bankruptcy, family law, and real estate transactions. He coupled his firm with a title company, Latitude Property & Title, LLC in 2021 with his colleague and former law school friend.
  
  Jarrette is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and holds memberships in several professional organizations to include, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the 40th Judicial District Bar Association (Vice President), National Notary Association, and the Editorial Board of the Louisiana State Bar Association Journal. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana. Jarrette is also an active and dedicated member of the New Orleans Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
